It’s easier to be the helper than the helped. It feels like weakness. But Jesus leads the way into this weakness by asking physical help from his community again and again.

Jesus busted out of his tomb in a glorified but still scarred body. I too will live out my neverending days in some glorified yet familiar version of this freckled, long-nosed, medium height body-spirit-mind I am now.

God seems to enjoy adding a lot of flair to His world. I’m not saying He would hate a navy and beige #capsulewardrobe. I’m just saying He seems more like a maximalist…
